Title: Financial Assistant
Location: Stamford, CT
Salary: 35 - 40K + Bonus
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Financial Assistant to work with the Treasury Department and provide support to a CFO. Our client is a brokerage financial services firm located in Greenwich, CT. The position will become involved in cash management, wire transfers, account reconciliation, and provide support to the CFO. Compensation includes a base salary $35-40K, bonus, excellent benefits package and 401K. Some of the positions responsibilities are listed below.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with and learn inner workings of a Financial Services Treasury Group
• Become involved with cash management procedures
• Conduct wire transfers and account reconciliations
• Spend 50% of day providing overall support to the CFO
• Work with CFO on report generation
• Assist CFO with time sensitive projects
• Data entry into Microsoft Excel, and other financial software
• Other support duties as required
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred
• Working knowledge of current software/systems available (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and E-mail systems) and ability to learn new software, technology and equipment quickly and efficiently.
• Demonstrated organizational ability, time and priority management skills
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks on a daily basis.
• Proven ability to successfully handle large volumes of work within tight time constraints.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player
