Description |
Client
located in Westchester County, NY is seeking a Senior Treaty
Accountant. The position is responsible for the administration
of individual treaties with client companies. This includes
review of treaty parameters and the review and analysis of actual
to expected financial results. Compensation will depend upon
experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of related
experience. Other responsibilities include: |
| Primary
Responsibilities |
•
Reviewing and processing daily administration of assigned accounts,
including allocation of assumed and retro premiums, adherence
to treaty parameters, etc.
• Review and analysis of actual results versus expected
financial projections
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
and continuous review and streamline of procedures
• Train other treaty accountant(s) and review/approved
completed work

Job
Qualifications |
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent
work experience
• Minimum 4 years accounting experience in insurance industry,
preferably in a group life
• FLMI courses preferred
• Strong analytical, accounting and math skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid PC skills, including Word, Excel & Access
(Business Objects a plus)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proven ability to train staff |
