We are currently recruiting for an Actuarial Analyst in Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody / Sandy Springs area) or White Plains, NY. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company reporting to the Business Unit Actuary. The Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for supporting all actuarial processes including management reporting, reserving studies, profitability and pricing / ratemaking analysis, predictive modeling, analysis of reinsurance structure and other special projects. In this role you will be exposed to a wide variety of projects and will have an opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders and see how your work makes a difference in the business. Compensation Package: 90K – 100K Base + Bonus + Benefits


  • Assist with the business planning process for US, coordinating with underwriting leadership, reserving, pricing and capital modeling teams to determine expected profitability for all US lines
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis of US business to assess potential volatility
  • Create and update management reports to deliver insight on business performance
  • Work with the capital modeling team to evaluate the impact on US capital requirements
  • Assist with the analysis and design of reinsurance solutions
  • Support quarterly reserving by ensuring efficient process and coordination with the US finance team to promote transparency around reserving
  • Actively seek out opportunities to improve existing processes, offer your own ideas and insights and take a point of view on questions relating to the business, as well as provide innovative ways to deliver analysis, while adhering to actuarial best practices and ensuring excellent communication with all stakeholders
  • Perform ad-hoc profitability analysis


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • At least 3 actuarial exams passed
  • Experience with pricing or reserving
  • Strong programming skills working with R and SQL
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal parties throughout the organization
  • P&C, Specialty and casualty commercial lines experience is a plus
  • Experience with VBA and process automation
  • Experience with multivariate predictive modelling / data science
  • Computer skills: SQL, R, Advanced Microsoft Excel including VBA, Microsoft office
