We are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Appointment Manager (L&H Insurance or P&C exp) in White Plains, NY to become a part of a growing Operations team. This role will support the agency field team and play a key role in the success of the group. This is an exciting opportunity in an entrepreneurial / start up environment within a global company. Must have strong Carrier/Home Office insurance industry experience in Individual Life, Health or P&C and a proven track record of success. 100K - 120K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package - willing to offer relocation assistance


  • Senior agency services lead for contracting, appointments and commissions
  • Establish standard operating procedures for all internal and external Team activities
  • Review and make independent decisions on contracting, appointments, background checks
  • Respond to questions from agents concerning licensing requirements, background checks, commissions and other agency support activities
  • Oversee third party providers that support agent appointment process and commission process
  • Communicate with agencies, and third party service providers regarding appointments, renewals and terminations
  • Follow Vendor Management program requirements to ensure service provider complies with contract
  • Manage a variety of onboarding models, and analyze complex data flows to ensure all onboarding is occurring accurately and timely
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for agent appointments, terminations and renewals
  • Maintain agency appointment data base to ensure integrity and compliance with all regulatory requirements


  • Must have at least 2- 3 years' experience in the contracting and appointment process for the insurance industry (Individual Life, Health or P&C)
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements for agent appointments, renewals, terminations and commissions.
  • Strong understanding of commission processing and familiar with commission resolution processes
  • Strong relationship building, organization and process management skills with experience working in fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical skills and a great financial acumen
