We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner in NYC (Midtown) or Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody / Sandy Springs area). Hybrid in-office 2 days per week. This is a 12-month contract position. The HR Business Partner will manage multiple priorities and anticipate team members’ needs. You will be the first point of contact for the HR team, working on all facets of HR and people programs, helping to foster a productive and inclusive environment and exceptional employee experience at every stage of the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5+ years of HRBP/Generalist experience. Compensation: $50 - $60 Hourly Rate (M-F standard business hours 40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Act as a People partner to leaders, providing guidance and counsel across talent development, performance management, employee engagement, reward and workforce planning. Apply knowledge of US employment law to actively reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Guide and upskill managers through annual People processes such as performance calibration and compensation reviews to achieve successful outcomes aligned with organizational expectations.
- Partner with talent acquisition and hiring managers to shape the target candidate profile and provide the guidance required to hire quality, diverse talent into the organization.
- Oversee and manage the leave administration and absence management processes including but not limited to procedures, policies and communications; acting as an internal liaison for our external benefit and leave administrators.
- Involvement in all aspects of benefits and wellness initiatives, including communications, coordination of events and tracking of wellness budget.
- Support with Benefits open enrollment, including but not limited to reviewing benefit summary plan descriptions, finalizing benefit guides, drafting employee communications, coordinating information sessions and acting as point of contact for questions.
- Support development of engagement plans based on quantitative and qualitative insights.
- Coach, mentor and challenge line managers to embed a high-performance culture, promote Company vision and values and improve manager effectiveness.
- Administer transactions in HRIS such as job changes and terminations, ensuring employee data quality. Act as a point of contact for complex People queries.
- Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as required and work on or lead projects/programs as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience as HRBP/Generalist
- Comprehensive working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, compensation practices, employment law and regulatory compliance with the ability to translate this into practical advice.
- Proven ability to contribute to the implementation of HR strategies, programs and processes in support of the overall business strategy.
- Knowledge of leave administration, FMLA, short- and long-term disability plans, and benefit and wellness plans and strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop trust quickly with all levels of the organization.
- Confident handling ambiguity and fluid situations with an abundance of common sense and pragmatism.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple conflicting priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint).
