We are currently recruiting for an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee operations at advanced metals recovery facilities. These plants integrate industrial manufacturing, sophisticated automation, and AI-driven sorting technology to produce high-purity recycled aluminum alloys. The Plant Manager will be responsible for safety, operational performance, production output, and continuous improvement initiatives at the site, while supporting the scaling of a rapidly expanding industrial technology company. Unlike traditional aluminum smelting or foundry processes, these facilities focus on advanced materials sorting and upcycling, constructing next-generation metal recycling plants. Recycled aluminum products serve automotive, construction, aerospace, rolling mills, and die casting industries. This position presents a unique opportunity to manage a facility at the intersection of advanced manufacturing, AI automation, and sustainable metals production. This role offers the opportunity to influence operations during a period of significant growth. MUST HAVE experience managing operations in metals processing, recycling, automotive manufacturing, heavy industrial manufacturing, or materials processing environments 150K – 180K Base + Bonus + stock options + Benefits Package (relo available).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, production, and workforce management
  • Develop and lead a high-performing operations and maintenance team
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Ensure achievement of production targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Maximize plant throughput and equipment utilization
  • Monitor key operational metrics and implement process improvements
  • Direct the operation of AI-enabled sorting systems, sensors, and automated processing equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system performance and reliability
  • Support continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Apply best practices in Lean Manufacturing, reliability and preventive maintenance, process improvement, and operational efficiency
  • Manage plant budgets and operating costs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
  • Work with corporate leadership on plant expansion strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience as a Plant Manager or Senior Operations Leader
  • Experience managing operations in metals processing, recycling, automotive manufacturing, heavy industrial manufacturing, or materials processing environments
  • Leadership within automated or technology-driven manufacturing settings preferred
  • Proven ability to scale operations and improve plant performance highly valued
  • Proficiency in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience optimizing operations, achieving cost reductions, and deploying technology solutions
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead plant teams
