Location: White Plains, NY | 55K–65K Base + Bonus  + Benefits Package

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Cash Analyst in the White Plains, NY area. The Senior Cash Analyst is responsible for booking and allocating cash in the sub-ledger system of record and assist with maintaining the Cashbook Bank Reconciliations. This role will also assist with Aged Debt reporting by contacting brokers for collection of past due premiums as well as any ad-hoc projects. The Senior Cash Analyst reports to the Cash and Collections Manager. This is a fulltime permanent position (Standard business hours Mon – Fri). Base 55K – 65K + Bonus (target 15%) + Benefits Package

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely payments and receipts of broker invoices regarding contracts
  • Troubleshoot data reconciliation and variance issues, and resolve unallocated cash issues
  • Maintain Sub-ledger to Bank Reconciliation files
  • Develop strong relationships with Brokers to facilitate timely and accurate cash receipts & disbursements
  • Follow up with brokers regarding overdue balances
  • Ability to work on and resolve complex problems, and partner with Claims, IT, Accounting, Underwriting and Operations departments
  • Strong analytical ability, and detail oriented with the ability to work on high volume of transactions
  • Meet all monthly and quarterly deadlines with consistent and accurate analysis
  • Support development, maintenance and distribution of accurate balance reporting
  • Achieve qualitative and granular understanding of SAP, and its effects downstream
  • Ad-hoc project requests particularly process improvement projects

Experience:

  • 2+ years of Accounts Receivable and Cash Accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting/Finance
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level Excel Skills Required (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
  • FSCD/SAP experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting procedures, internal and external reporting, variance analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, and strong problem solver with Analytical abilities and have a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume team environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and build business partnerships with corporate departments
