We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager – Azure Infrastructure (Full-Time Contractor) in Stamford, CT. Seeking Experienced Project Manager for Enterprise Azure Platform Migration. This is a one year contract with possible extension. Full time 40 hours per week. Hybrid schedule.

Pay range and compensation package: $50.00 - $55.00 Hourly Rate. After 6 months you will earn a few PTO days and some paid holidays.

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in migrating Azure infrastructure solutions for enterprise-level, business-critical platforms. This role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a multi-environment Azure infrastructure supporting internal employee use and external access through a secure portal, leveraging Azure Front Door for global scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end global project management for the design, build, and migration of Azure infrastructure supporting enterprise business platforms.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and partners to gather requirements and define project scope for multiple environments (development, staging, production, etc.).
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful delivery within agreed deadlines and budget.
  • Oversee the implementation of Azure Front Door, ensuring secure and efficient access to the platform via the customer portal.
  • Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues promptly to maintain continuity and platform stability.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present status updates, documentation, and post-migration reports to senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of design by identifying opportunities to optimize Azure infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience migrating and/or designing enterprise-level Azure platforms with multiple environments.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services, including Azure Front Door, networking, security, and resource management.
  • Experience managing platforms accessed via portals by employees and external users.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) preferred.
