We are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Loan Processor in Stamford, CT (fulltime in-office – possible hybrid in future). The Processor will work with borrower(s) and Loan Officers to obtain all necessary documents to complete the application. Must have mortgage loan processing experience. 55K – 60K Base + per file closed bonus + Benefits Package.
Responsibilities:
- Review all documents supplied by borrower(s)
- Confirm data in LOS matches supplied documents: Income, Asset balances and details of transaction
- Review and confirm that all documents are legible and acceptable to submit to underwriting
- Order third party supporting documents to process the file: Appraisals, Tax transcripts, Condo documents, SSN verifications
- Organize and prepare loan for submission to underwriting through lender portals
- Review approvals with borrowers, attorneys, realtors, and title companies
- Ensure application meets all deadlines: Mortgage contingencies, Closing dates
- Manage rate locks to ensure loans close on time
- Manage document expiration dates to ensure files are always up to date
- Meet turn-times established by management on all files
- Keep all files up to date in LOS
- Keep Loan officer updated on all loans
- Coordinate closings with bank closer, attorneys/settlement agents and borrowers
Requirements:
- Must have previous mortgage processing experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with Encompass Loan origination system
