We are currently recruiting for a Contract Underwriting Compliance Analyst in Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody / Sandy Springs area). This position will start on a contract basis (possible temp to perm). Hybrid schedule in-office 2 days per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in P&C Insurance working in underwriting and/or compliance. This person will help the team with the implementation of the company’s Underwriting governance and control framework which will guide them as they move towards future goals and beyond. Standard business hours 35-40 hours per week with a hybrid schedule (2 days in office) $35.00 - $45.00 Per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned key underwriting controls
  • Participate in technical underwriting reviews
  • Leverage data and analytics tools to explore large data sets for underwriting control weakness and opportunities to then design and implement preventative and detective controls including but not limited to Peer Reviews, Authority Management, and Overlining.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness and value of Underwriting Excellence by recommending and developing solutions including underwriting processes, products and controls which management has implemented to mitigate their risks.
  • Assist the Underwriting Standards and Controls manager on other projects/initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S degree
  • 1-3+-years of underwriting experience in P&C Insurance or prior experience working in underwriting compliance
  • Experience or interest in regulatory and compliance for USA P&C industry is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to drive underwriting quality success in an ambitious production environment is ideal
  • Proficiency in data analytics, demonstrating the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive strategic business decisions with the capability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights.
  • Experience in underwriting, risk assessment, or a similar analytical role within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
